Following the launch of Greenwich’s newest campaign, the newest lineup of Blacklist International also made their first public appearance as a team. It’s the start of a new era of Agents as we see a geared-up set of pro players led by Filipino import Dlar and MP The King. This partnership with Greenwich ushered in a gaming convention, allowing fans to play Mobile Legends: Bang Bang alongside their favorite players in an epic showdown. In this event, we saw a glimpse of their dynamics and winning strategies as they prepared to battle it out with strong opponents this coming MPL Philippines Season 14.
New Blacklist Bundle
The teams are composed of 1 Blacklist International players alongside randomly picked lucky players. Attendees must purchase a single receipt worth 300 pesos and sign up via a link or QR code placed at Greenwich stores or found on their official pages. After receiving positive feedback from last year’s promo, Greenwich brought back the crowd-favorite bundle. The names given to the divided teams signal the return of the Blacklist Overload Bundle in stores nationwide namely: Hawaiian Overload, Lasagna Supreme, Pizzawrap, Winner Wings.
Showdown with a treat!
The event promises a best-of-one match between three teams. Players battle it out to win 25,000 pesos worth of prizes. It was not only pro players who got to show off but also their supporters who surprisingly made great plays. One of which even became MVP using Popol and Kupa. Who knows, maybe some lucky raffle winners will also join professional esports.
Fans were treated with many giveaways and snacks while watching the matches. Their delicious Pizza Wrap was the perfect snack to munch on in an intense environment. Fun activities hosted by enthusiastic casters filled the room with competitive energy, resonating with the players to give everyone a great show.
The best strategy used by the teams is to ban the most powerful hero from previous matches, limiting the hero pool of the threat. Players were aggressive throughout, initiating Turtle and Lord dances whenever an opportunity came up. This continued until the last match, however, Kimpoy’s squad came prepared and managed to win all of their games, deemed as the Greenwich Gaming Convention Champions.
Gaming Conventions Are More Than Just Events
This gaming convention served as a space where fans and idols meet and even play with each other, igniting the spirit of camaraderie. It’s not every day you get to play side-by-side with your favorite player.
