    A Recap Of The 2024 Cyberzone Challenger Series

    The Cyberzone Challenger Series 2024 wrapped up another successful year, setting an exciting tone for what we could expect in 2025. Hosted by Cyberzone at SM City North EDSA and later extended to other key locations, it has become a popular gathering for the Filipino esports community and showcases up-and-coming talents in multiple gaming genres. In this annual series, they partnered with other companies that share the same passion for gaming culture, such as Realme/Realme GT 6, Smart, PLDT Home, and PC Express, which has grown to embody Cyberzone’s commitment to fostering a robust gaming culture in the Philippines.

    During the first leg in May, the stage events featured competitive gaming for Call Of Duty: Mobile and Valorant, attracting First Person Shooter (FPS) fans. Meanwhile, the Challenger Booths offered hands-on experiences with Tekken 8, Classic Tetris, F1 racing powered by Apex Racing Philippines, as well as Call of Duty: Warzone and its mobile counterpart, Warzone Mobile, giving attendees a diverse selection of games to enjoy.

    In August, the second leg’s stage was packed with a varied lineup, showcasing Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (ML), a thrilling showmatch in League of Legends: Wild Rift, Tekken 8, Genshin Impact, and the returning COD: Mobile. The Challenger Booths provided additional excitement with demo sessions for these same games as well – Tekken 8, Tetris, Genshin Impact (in collaboration with Razer Gold), and League of Legends: Wild Rift can all be tried and enjoyed by anyone in attendance.

    By October, the third leg focused on mobile Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) and fighting game enthusiasts, with ML, Tekken 8, Honor of Kings, and Genshin Impact on the main stage. The Challenger Booths continued to offer engaging, fun activities, including Tekken 8, Genshin Impact with Razer Gold, and Assetto Corsa featuring Gameline Grid for racing fans, rounding out a robust lineup of gaming experiences that attendees can experience.

    In addition to gaming, attendees were treated to a tech showcase featuring the latest gaming hardware and gadgets. As a hub for tech in the Philippines, Cyberzone used the event to highlight some of the newest products on the market, giving fans a firsthand look at innovations designed to enhance their gaming experience.

    With the 2024 series setting a high bar, expectations are building for the Cyberzone Challenger Series in 2025. The event’s continued growth demonstrates its role in nurturing the local esports community, providing both a competitive platform for players and a dynamic space for fans to engage with their favorite games.
