Over 7,000 geeks, gamers, and collectors from Luzon to Mindanao gathered for the Cyberzone Geek Con DX – this year’s biggest multi-city celebration of anime, tech, and trading cards!
The 2025 edition of Cyberzone Geek Con DX wrapped up with a bang, drawing in thousands of fans across three major SM Supermalls — Fairview, Cebu, and Davao — and proving once again that geek culture is alive and thriving in the Philippines.
This year’s three-leg tour from February 26 to March 30 brought together over 7,000 attendees, showcasing everything from cosplay, card games, and collectibles to the latest in gaming gear and PC tech. It was more than just a convention — it was a full-blown community takeover.
A massive win for the TCG and hobby scene
One of the standout aspects of this year’s Geek Con DX was how it spotlighted the growing local TCG scene. Dedicated free-play zones, tournaments, and even trading corners for titles like Magic: The Gathering, Flesh and Blood, Altered, and more gave card game fans a space to test their decks, learn new games, and expand their collections.
With support from trusted hobby shops and distributors, players also got access to deck-building workshops, sleeves and accessories, and rare collectible finds — a real treat for new players and veterans alike.
All corners of geekdom under one roof
From jaw-dropping cosplay showcases to tech demos and anime-themed merch booths, Geek Con DX packed a lot into each venue. The Deluxe Lane was a hit for creatives and collectors, housing brands like Akko and Wacom, while the Hobby Corner became a go-to spot for TCG battles, tabletop duels, and even a few rounds of Beyblade X.
Of course, the stage area kept things buzzing with trivia games, raffles, and performances that brought out everyone’s inner geek. No matter what fandom you were into, there was something for you.
Big names, exclusive deals, and hands-on tech
Cyberzone also teamed up with industry players like PC Express, MSI, Gameline, Datablitz, Razer Gold, and PlayPark to offer exclusive event-only discounts and sneak peeks at the latest gear. From powerful gaming laptops to stylish peripherals, fans got to try them firsthand — and in many cases, take home something new.
Building a national geek community
Beyond the booths and tournaments, what really made Geek Con DX special was how it brought the community together. With fans traveling from different cities and sharing their experiences online using #CyberzoneGeekConDX, the event became a national moment for Filipino geek culture.
