New To Valorant? Try These Agents!

    Published on:

Valorant, a game that promises fun and excitement, can be challenging for beginners, especially when playing with competitive friends. There are tons of abilities and agents to learn on top of the various weapons and maps available, so it’s easy to get overwhelmed. Here are a couple of our picks for players on their first few games of Valorant, designed to help you dive into the fun and excitement of the game.

    Sage

Still new and needing more confidence with your aim? Pick up Sage and keep your best teammate nice and healthy. Support them from afar with your healing, ensuring they stay alive after their duels. Keep the enemy at bay with your slow orbs and large crystal wall. Be the hero and revive your downed teammates when you need it most. Sage is simple and effective, perfect for beginners.

    Phoenix

If you’re coming from other shooters and testing the waters in Valorant, Phoenix is the agent for you. His flashes are simple, letting you peek corners effectively. The firewall enables you to cross angles safely while dealing damage to enemies and healing yourself. The same goes for the molly, which you can throw at enemies to deal damage or at your own feet to heal. Just make sure your team isn’t nearby; they aren’t immune to your fire. Your ultimate is extremely useful, giving you a second life to play with!

    Cypher

Cypher makes it easy to lock down an area. His traps cover most doorways, signaling when an enemy crosses them and stunning them briefly for an easy kill. Smokes let you cover your teammates when under fire and block enemy vision to enter areas safely. Your camera lets you watch odd angles as well, making you incredibly useful to your team without having to get kills. If you see any dead enemies, throw your ultimate at them and instantly reveal where their team is. Your team will thank you for all the intel.

    Neon

Go in guns blazing with Neon. She’s the only agent that can run and powerslide, making it easy to catch enemies off guard. Your firewall allows you and your team to enter areas by blocking enemy vision. Concuss enemies at odd angles with her bolts, then run in and gun them down with ease. Your ultimate lets you shoot lightning at your enemies while you run, making you a difficult target to pin down.

    Brimstone

Take a more tactical approach with Brimstone. With well-placed smokes, you have tons of control over the map, keeping enemies from spotting you and your team. Flush out your opponents with your Molotov grenades, stopping them from crossing that area for quite some time. You make the call when your team rushes, dropping down a stimpack that boosts your team’s speed and fire rate. Info is key, and once you know where your enemies are, you can open up the skies and hit them with an orbital laser, frying everything in the area.

These are just a couple of the available agents in Valorant. Check everyone out and see which abilities you like the most, but remember to stick to someone you think is fun. Even if they’re a difficult agent, it’ll be easier to learn someone you enjoy playing.
