The much-anticipated Path of Exile 2 is set to redefine the action role-playing genre, and Grinding Gear Games (GGG) has officially opened the doors to Early Access with the launch of Supporter Packs. Fans of the original Path of Exile are eager to dive into this dark, expansive world starting December 7, with an Early Access campaign offering a wealth of new features, content, and challenges.

New Classes and Ascendancies

Set 20 years after the events of the original game, Path of Exile 2 introduces six new character classes: Monk, Warrior, Ranger, Mercenary, Witch, and Sorceress. Each class offers two unique Ascendancy paths that allow players to specialize their skills and tailor their gameplay experience.

Monk: A swift melee fighter with options to build momentum for sustained damage or channel elemental powers as the Invoker. Alternatively, the Acolyte of Chayula harnesses chaos and darkness to dominate enemies.

Warrior: The quintessential tank with brute strength, focusing on stuns and powerful slams. Players can choose between the resilient Titan or the ancestral spirit-conjuring Warbringer.

Ranger: Agile and mobile, the Ranger combines precision and speed. Ascend to Deadeye for increased marksmanship or Pathfinder for mastery over poisons and alchemical warfare.

Mercenary: Armed with a versatile crossbow, this class features dynamic abilities. Choose Witchhunter for magical defenses or Gemling Legionnaire to embed gems into your body for unparalleled skill and versatility.

Witch: A master of chaos magic and summoning, the Witch can unleash an army of undead or wield destructive life-force abilities as the Blood Mage. Alternatively, the Infernalist summons demonic power for unrelenting destruction.

Sorceress: The classic spellcaster excels in elemental magic. Become a Stormweaver to unleash devastating elemental storms or a Chronomancer to manipulate time and cooldowns.

Players will also have access to hundreds of skill gems, each customizable with support gems that drastically alter gameplay. Every class can mix and match skills, fostering endless build possibilities.

An Expansive Campaign and Endgame

The campaign takes players through new regions, including the haunted forests of Ogham, the arid Vastiri Desert, and the mysterious ruins of Utzaal. The narrative revolves around stopping the Count of Ogham from harnessing the Seed of Corruption. Along the way, players will encounter formidable bosses, strange allies, and richly detailed environments.

Once the campaign is completed, the endgame begins. Players will unlock seven distinct endgame systems, each offering unique challenges and rewards:

• Trials of Sekhemas: A roguelike dungeon filled with bosses and hazards, scaling in difficulty as players progress.
• Trial of the Chaos God: A high-stakes dungeon where players gamble rewards by pushing through increasingly dangerous rooms.
• Expedition: Uncover ancient relics buried in explosive-filled sites while battling the restless dead.
• Ritual: Sacrifice enemies at dark altars to earn valuable items.
• Delirium: Traverse mists that amplify rewards but unleash terrifying foes.
• Pinnacle: Conquer giant fortresses filled with intricate mazes and deadly traps.

These endgame systems also introduce passive trees that enhance map rewards and alter mechanics, offering deeper gameplay customization.

Supporter Packs and Early Access Perks

Supporter Packs start at $30 and grant Early Access to Path of Exile 2. Higher-tier packs include exclusive in-game cosmetics, physical merchandise like T-shirts and artbooks, and additional Early Access keys to share with friends.

Veteran players from Path of Exile can also look forward to exclusive perks, including bonus keys for those with lifetime supporter titles.

Redefined Action RPG Gameplay

Path of Exile 2 revamps combat with fluid animations, improved skill interactions, and thrilling boss encounters. The iconic passive skill tree returns with even more depth, allowing players to forge unique builds. Additionally, Cruel Difficulty offers a hardcore mode where enemies are tougher but drop more valuable loot.
