The Biggest Questions in Demon Slayer Season 4

    Published on:

The highly anticipated Demon Slayer Season 4 has just premiered with a thrilling, nearly hour-long episode on Netflix! This captivating installment not only lays the groundwork for the current arc but also introduces a multitude of thought-provoking questions, each more impactful than the last. The episode’s impressive length allows for a deep dive into the story, giving fans much to ponder and look forward to in the upcoming episodes.

Demon Slayer Season 4 – What was the castle that Sanemi and Obani saw during their rescue mission?

How do you map this thing?

As the Wind Hashira and the Snake Hashira embarked on a daring mission to rescue abducted villagers, they unexpectedly stumbled upon a mysterious, shifting castle that appeared out of nowhere. Despite their formidable skills, they were denied entry after a brief encounter, leaving them with a sense of foreboding. The castle teemed with demons, hinting at its significance as a potential stronghold for one of the remaining Upper Rank demons, or perhaps even the lair of Muzan himself. Another problem they have to face down the line is how to breach the castle itself if they were able to find it again. The construct seemed to defy all logic as its numerous stairs and corridors moved around can seem to trap anyone inside for an infinite amount of time.

Demon Slayer Season 4 – What are the actual conditions to trigger the mark?

Hair color wasn’t a thing back then when the first Demon Slayer Corps was established.

The mysterious mark that manifested on Tanjiro, Mitsui, and Mulchiro has emerged as a pivotal factor in their victories against the Upper-Rank demons. It is essential to understand how this mark can be consistently utilized. Although all three individuals have attributed intense emotions as a common trigger for the mark’s appearance, it appears that there are additional elements contributing to its manifestation. One undeniable fact is that the individual who bears the mark is faced with a limited time to harness its immense power. Key to this is the mention of the first Demon Slayer’s history, who was seemingly able to manifest his mark at will and even resonate it with his group back then.

Demon Slayer Season 4 – Is Tanjiro’s new sword actually anything special?

    Slay… everyone?

Tanjiro obtains a new Nichirin Sword, crafted from the blade discovered within the battle doll Yoriichi Type Zero, combined with Rengoku’s hilt. This blade bears a distinct insignia that reads “Slay,” giving it a unique identity. However, a lingering concern arises – will this sword, like the ones before it, succumb to breakage? Given Tanjiro’s history of breaking multiple Nichirin swords, the mysterious origins of this new weapon suggest that there may be more to it than meets the eye.

Demon Slayer Season 4 – Why did Giyu have to leave at this crucial time?

Giyu is always out on solo missions. Hopefully this is not his last one.

The Water Hashira made the decision to abstain from participating in the Hashira Training without providing any explanation for his actions. It’s plausible that he may have chosen to embark on a solitary training journey in an attempt to manifest the mark, but could there be more to his departure? Giyu, known for his reserved nature in Demon Slayer, has left many fans speculating that his sudden exit may lead to significant developments in the storyline. It may even lead to potential danger for him as another possibility is that he went to look into the mysterious castle’s location to scout more information from it, and might get involved in a major fight while doing so.

Demon Slayer Season 4 – What’s going to happen to Tamayo?

Poor Tamayo can’t catch a break.

At the end of the episode, a messenger from Ubayashiki, the head of the Demon Slayer Corps, finds Tamayo and invites her to the headquarters to collaborate with Shinobu on studying Nezuko’s transformation. Since Tamayo has proven to be a non-hostile demon, it is unlikely that this will lead to an ambush. However, it is interesting to speculate on what their joint research will lead to. One of the first thoughts that come to mind is finding a way to completely reverse the demonic transformation and apply this cure on a massive scale. They might also try to find a way to weaponize it in the fight against the remaining Upper Demons and Muzan, since a cure of that nature will surely make these powerful foes more vulnerable.

    Demon Slayer Season 4
    Not expecting much from these guys. -_-;

Did you like the first episode of Season 4? What are you looking forward to in future episodes? Will the Hashira Training actually pay off for the regular, non-Hashira members of the Demon Slayer Corps (probably not)? We’re all excited to see in the next few weeks!
