The New Bloodline Is The Only Reason Why I’m Still Watching WWE

    Published on:

The drama and tension right after WrestleMania XXL quickly went out like a flame from a candle wick. I honestly lost hope with the momentum and level of storytelling that we saw from early on this year. Cody Rhodes was a champion most of us, including myself truly wanted to see but now it’s just going downhill, to be honest. That is until you focus your eyes back on the Bloodline — the new composition of it to be exact.

What makes this New Bloodline so scary?

We are witnessing truly the birth of a faction that is rooted in family. I can picture Dom Toretto saying that word with so much passion when it comes to this topic. The phrase blood is thicker than water is very much applicable and seen here with the beauty of this story at its core being the impact and representation of the Samoan family. From The Rock to Roman Reigns all coming together as one. We saw the culmination of a war for wrestling legacy supremacy back at Wrestlemania XXL. The Rhodes legacy versus the Samoan tribe. This time around the internal battle amongst what seems to be two growing versions of the Bloodline points to all-out war.

You feel the intensity of it all even when Michael Cole calls out the wreckage that they left their victims in. With the most recent being Paul Heyman, we are truly witnessing a Bloodline that is more united than ever and in a state that is probably the most unhinged that we’ve seen yet. Imagine a group filled with Umaga-like stars that have no respect for anyone or anything. Their eyes are set on one thing — utter destruction. It’s not even championships or popularity, the driving force for every destructive dominance from this New Bloodline seems to be to assert their dominance. Nothing more, nothing less. How can you even begin to possibly stop that?

Where is The Bloodline Story Heading?

To be completely honest, I wasn’t on board with this story when it first began. Solo Sikoa isn’t the strongest superstar when you think of stardom. His skills on the microphones for promos aren’t on the level of The Rock or even Roman Reigns when he fully embraced the Tribal Chief persona. Sikoa as the new leader also felt initially like a Roman Reigns and Umaga ripoff when it comes to his in-ring performance. As the weeks have passed by however, and with each episode of Raw, Smackdown, and big pay-per-views that drop, the all-new Bloodline has continued to grow in number and has gotten back into the status of being a force to be reckoned with.

The OG bloodline has been eradicated, being torn into pieces, one by one, both physically and verbally. First, it was Jimmy Uso, then now Paul Heyman, and even the dismissal of Roman Reigns as the Head of the Table, has all pointed to a new course for this faction. Surprisingly they remain very dominant even when put up against the likes of the combined forces of the WWE Universal Champion Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, and Kevin Owens. Factions have always had a special place in the WWE with the likes of Evolution, NWO, D Generation-X, and many many more, and surely The Bloodline with all its versions has climbed up the ladder as one of the most dominant groups to date.

Now, it doesn’t matter if you don’t have the individual star power as mentioned. You don’t have to be the best behind the microphone. You don’t have to have the best finisher in the industry today. You can rely heavily on your past to paint a brand new future just like Solo and his gang are doing and still command the audience’s attention and eventually their respect. With this the future of the Bloodline and the WWE is truly heading to greater heights but to where exactly? What will the landscape of the WWE universe look like with the new Bloodline at the center of it all?

Why This is the Best Time to Be A Fan?

To answer that question, it’s very simple. The WWE universe is now officially fan-centric. Written for and by the fans. With the addition of new members into this Bloodline that fans have hoped and predicted, it was still surprising despite the anticipation and clamor for it. Fans wanted The Tongans (Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa) and even the latest member, Jacob Fatu, to be a part of the WWE and this specific story. Paul Levesque still shows why he is the perfect fit for heading the Creative Department of the WWE as he truly listens to the fans. The fans therefore are left in a state of awe and wonder as we slowly realize that our voices are truly being heard in the story-telling process.

It’s the constant adjustment and attention to what the fans are clamoring for that is truly setting the course for an epic confrontation of mass proportions. Again it took WWE creatives years to set the course for a two-part story with Rhodes and Reigns and now it looks like an all-out war involving the OG Bloodline and the New Bloodline is about to unfold. This is indeed just the beginning. Fans are eager to see an internal war break out that will even position and transform into a possible Reigns vs The Rock clash of epic proportions.

There are so many speculations left and right as to when this can all happen and start. Some say we have to wait until Summerslam for a Roman Reigns return, but I’m honestly hoping for a huge development in the New Bloodline storyline as early as Money in the Bank.

There are still countless other storylines as well that are even happening simultaneously such as that with the Wyatt Sick and many many more. That’s why again now is the best time to be a fan of the WWE.
