Aurora, one of the latest Runeblades in Flesh and Blood, has taken over the meta—and she’s not slowing down anytime soon. Whether you’re into Classic Constructed, Blitz, or just jamming at your local Armory, Aurora is making waves across the board. She’s not just strong—she’s accessible, flexible, and easy to pilot, even for new players.
Let’s break down why Aurora is the best hero in FaB right now.
She’s Winning Everywhere—No Matter the Format
Aurora’s dominance isn’t just hype—it’s backed by results. She recently took 1st place at The Calling: São Paulo, one of the biggest international events of the season. That wasn’t a fluke, either—she also had win at Battle Hardened Taipei and its PQ+ event, and has been a regular face in Top 8s around the world, such as in Calling Kobe (though the whole event was won by fellow Runeblade Florian).

Her presence is just as strong in Blitz, where she’s led a LOT of players to victory in multiple Skirmish events. The deck’s synergy and raw damage make her a favorite in faster formats—especially when you can simply do a huge damage turn with multiple 4-power attacks backed up by Arc Lightning, Flicker Wisp, and Channel Lightning Valley!

The Best Starter Hero Right Now
One of the biggest reasons Aurora stands out isn’t just her power level—it’s how easy it is to get started with her. The Aurora Armory Deck is one of the strongest pre-cons in the game right now. Right out of the box, it’s a solid entry point for newcomers and gives you everything you need to learn the fundamentals of her playstyle.

From there, upgrading is simple. Her game plan is clear, her tools are accessible, and her cards are relatively affordable compared to other heroes (still, be prepared to spend a bit to fully upgrade her).

If you’re not sure where to go after the Armory deck, Carlo Ople’s guide on the Unbox FaB YouTube channel is a fantastic resource. It walks you through key upgrades and game plans that work for both casual and competitive play, especially if you’re on a budget.
Easy to Play, Hard to Beat
Aurora doesn’t just reward mastery—she gives newer players a strong foundation right away. Her playstyle revolves around maintaining a good offense with her synergistic Lightning cards while also knowing when to block key attacks from her opponent. She’s also less punishing to misplay compared to heroes like Nuu or Verdance, which makes her ideal for those still learning the ropes.

And even at higher levels, her ceiling is incredibly high. Experienced players can navigate even through her worst matchups and still have a good chance of winning, which is a big reason why she continues to perform well at top tables.
Not Unstoppable—But Still the Best Pick Right Now
Of course, no hero is perfect. Heroes like Victor Goldmane, Zen, and Nuu all have tools that can challenge Aurora. Victor’s solid defense and disruption can break her offense apart, while Zen can set up his own huge offense while blocking her effectively with Flic Flak and Wax On/Off, and Nuu can disrupt key cards from her hand and eventually fatigue her.
But even with those threats in the meta, Aurora’s ease of use and overall strength make her the best all-around pick for both newcomers and veterans alike. She has very few bad matchups, and when played well, she can go toe-to-toe with anyone in the format. If you’re planning to get into Flesh and Blood this season, there’s no better place to start than with Aurora.
